At the end of the day, you’re bound to be hungry. No need to go elsewhere for a bite and drink. Pumpkin Hollow has some delicious snacks that you will enjoy. However, if you’re one who likes a change of scenery, you can consider visiting the Regina Farmer’s Market. The market has the best fresh produce around, sold at a very affordable price.
Pro tip: don’t wear your best jeans when visiting Pumpkin Hollow. Things have been known to get a bit messy at times!
Happy Hollow Corn Maze
It would be wrong not to mention this particular destination: the Happy Hollow Corn Maze. You might have heard of it before, given its popularity. It’s located on the outskirts of Regina, in Lumsden. By car, it would take you just a half-hour from the city centre.
As the name suggests, it’s a maze of cornfield paths. From reliable sources, the maze can take some time to navigate. So, if you are planning to visit, make sure you have some snacks and water.
While it’s every weekend from September 11 to October 17, we recommend visiting the maze on their added day of Thanksgiving Monday. If you have kids, it'll occupy them while you can get a headstart on cooking at home!
Wascana Trails
There is no better time to hike the Wascana Trails than in the fall. With all the changing colours, it’s hard to resist a visit!
If you’re a lover of the outdoors, we know that hiking in the hotter seasons can be a pain. Within a few minutes of hiking, sweat is dripping down your face, your shirt is sticking to your back, and you start to doubt whether or not you’ve worn enough sunscreen.
But these don’t apply in the fall. The temperature is cool, perfect for hiking and enjoying the scenery without needing to retreat into the shade.
